potatoesVisit Frontier and Kings at #PotatoesinPractice 2018

Frontier’s expert potato agronomy advisory team and Kings’ technical advisors will be at the UK’s largest field-based potato event, Potatoes in Practice, in Dundee on Thursday 9th August.

Exhibiting on Stand 37 in the main marquee, Frontier’s experts will be discussing innovation and technical advice with potato growers, including:

  • Agronomic decisions
  • The latest developments in seed treatment application and technology
  • Storite Excel – This seed treatment reduces dry rot, gangrene, silver scurf and skin spot.
  • Maxim 100 FS – A seed treatment used to manage a range of seed borne diseases. Application can help to control black scurf, as well as reduce black dot and silver scurf.
  • Seed treatment trials.

In addition, Frontier agronomist, Emily Page will be speaking about her role as a member of the AHDB Next Generation Programme for future innovators and leaders of the potato industry.

Alongside Frontier, Kings will be located outdoors on Plot 12 showcasing a range of green cover crops that are suited to potato rotations.  With species including Defender oil radish and mustard and options such as the Kings’ biofumigation and EFA mixes, the crops on display will also help growers meet EFA requirements and support with the integrated management of soil borne pests.

The Kings plot will feature in Tour 4 of the agronomy plots, taking place in the afternoon.

Held at The James Hutton Institute’s Balruddery Farm, the event will take place 8.30am – 4.30pm and is free to attend.
