macmillan eesStaff at Lincoln based company Frontier Agriculture have chosen a number of charities to benefit from their company's annual employee engagement survey, including Macmillan Cancer Support who this week received a cheque for £1285.

Results from the survey are used to make company-wide improvements. In order to encourage all employees to participate Frontier pledged to donate £5 to charity for every completed survey. Each member of staff completing a form was able to personally choose which organisation they wanted to benefit.

Frontier's head office is at Witham St Hughs near Lincoln and the company has 650 staff across the UK. Return rates for the survey were extremely good with more than 450 people completing the form. Other charities receiving donations as a result of the survey were Help for Heroes, The Air Ambulance Appeal and Scope.

Jon Berry, Head of Human Resources for Frontier said: "I am delighted to donate this cheque to Macmillan Cancer Support on behalf of everyone at Frontier. Our company has a solid history of charitable giving and community fundraising on both an individual and company-wide level.  The survey results will be used to form an action plan for improvement here at Frontier and that so many good causes are benefitting as well is an added bonus. As a direct result of this survey we have donated £2,405 to charity this week; a significant total, which I know will be put to great use by these worthy organisations."

Receiving the donation on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising manager, Gemma Dixon said: "We are very grateful to Frontier and its employees for thinking of Macmillan.  The very kind donation you have given will go towards helping to the two million people living with cancer in the UK today. Each and every penny raised really will make a difference, thank you."
